The hockey scene had a great impact with the couch because I’m a college hockey player and known it was hockey day in USA on the 20th. I thought it was interesting and unexpected that it started that way. The Itchy and Scratchy video showed some symbolism of classism with the rice farmer and the rich. It related somewhat to ragtime and just showed the differences in classes. I hadn’t watched much of the Simpsons like I used too, but there hasn’t seemed to have much change. I did get laughs at the Polanski and Hopkins joke. The episode was pretty plain with Bart trying to make a video, but I was able to learn that even though Bart did all the work and didn’t get much of the credit he did realize he had to give Homer some credit. He didn’t get fully what he deserved but either does anyone. It relates to life as no matter how hard you work you may not get everything you deserve.
